Breed dog shows are a popular with our members and are overseen by The Royal Kennel Club, who set the standards for the various breeds and organise events that showcase the unique qualities of each breed. These shows not only promote responsible breeding practices but also provide a platform for dog owners to celebrate their pets and connect with others in the community.
For owners, it’s an opportunity to demonstrate how closely their dog meets the breed standard, earn titles & recognition, and network with other breeders/owners. Networking with other breeders and owners can lead to valuable exchanges of information and tips on care, training, and breeding practices. Additionally, participating in these shows fosters a sense of community among dog enthusiasts who share a passion for their breeds.

For those who enjoy dogs, being a spectator at a show provides the opportunity to see hundreds of dog breeds up close, many of which are rare or not commonly seen in public. Being able to observe these unique breeds not only enhances appreciation for their distinct characteristics but also encourages responsible ownership and breed preservation. Overall, dog shows serve as an important platform for education, connection, and celebration of the diverse canine world. They are ideal occasions for people considering getting a dog to see breeds in action, talk to owners, and learn about breeds.
